Xavier’s Research and Publication Cell
The Jaipur Xavier Educational Association (JXEA) in its endeavor to Impart Quality Education has established Xavier’s Research and Publication Cell (XRPC) in St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur for promoting quality research work, innovation, lateral, critical and analytical thinking, in various disciplines. JXEA believes in encouraging excellence in the field of higher education and research and therefore establishment of XRPC plays an instrumental role in developing critical temper and scientific outlook.
Having achieved a reputation as an excellent academic institute, there has been a paradigm shift to achieve excellence in research. As a measure to create a forum to discuss emerging research trends in various domains of promote research, multidisciplinary conferences are part of the college activity for promoting research. The conference proceedings and quality research papers of the conferences are taken care by the publication cell and published in College’s multidisciplinary journal IMPETUS. Research Projects committee has been established at college level to promote undergraduate research among students, projects based on field survey are evaluated by outside experts and quality projects are published in the form of chapters in College’s Research book INQUEST. In addition, Department level symposiums are organized and journals are Published to encourage students and initiate them into research.
Xavier’s Research and Publication Cell (XRPC)
The College has established Xavier’s Research and Publication Cell (XRPC) in order to promote research activities among the students and teaching staff of the college. Research is the backbone of academics. It also aims to ensure that the research and development activities of the college conform to all applicable rules and regulation as well as to the established standards and norms relating to safe and ethical conduct of research.
For the purpose of smooth functioning, XRPC is divided into two major special task cells:-
- A. Research Projects
- B. Publication
A. Xavier’s Research Projects Committee
Xavier’s Research Project Committee is constituted with the aim to inculcate an interest in independent research among students and to promote research capacity of those students who are keen to engage themselves in research work. It provides a platform to students to understand published works, determine an area of interest and jump start their career as researchers.

Research Projects Committee Guidelines
The role of RPC is to promote and conduct college level multidisciplinary projects.
RPC is responsible for collaboration and association with Government and Non- Government agencies for funding of research projects.
RPC is responsible for the presentation, and publication of the Student-Faculty research project. 4 to 8 students are assigned to one faculty. One student should not be the part of two projects in one academic session.
All the full-time faculties (excluding guests and research project committee members) have to supervise at least one interdisciplinary project.
RPC is responsible to conduct and organize the research projects related experts’ sessions and workshops.
B. Xavier’s Publication Committee
Publication committee follows the process of Peer Review for all its publication to ensure that only quality work that is original, creative, ground breaking, innovative and progressive research is encouraged and upheld by the college.
Quality research papers are published by the Cell in conference proceedings or published in the multi-disciplinary journal IMPETUS.
