Library: Xavier’s Knowledge Center

The college facilitates a well-stocked library with collection of more than eighteen thousand books on different subjects. International and National Journals and Magazines from various disciplines are also available.

Through the above link, students can download MOPAC (mobile OPAC) and access issued library books and the present availability of the books in the library.
Steps for accessing MOPAC:

  • Download MOPAC from Play Store
  • Click on LOGIN --> Click Select Library
  • Enter college name --> Search for St. Xavier's College Jaipur
  • Enter Username -your admission number (seven digits)
  • Enter Password –your admission number (seven digits) (You can change the password)
  • Search books under series SXCJ (for HFR College) & SXCN (for Nevta College)
  • See issued book details and many more about library.

Student can directly log in OPAC from right hand side of home page of website.

Rules and Regulations to be followed in the College Library:

  • Only three books will be issued to each student at one time.

  • Library books will be issued only on showing the College Identity card.

  • Students are allowed to enter library on showing the College Identity card.

  • Students can make entry in visitor register in the library through MOPAC check in only and have to ensure to check out on leaving.

  • Reference books, magazines, journals will not be issued.

  • The latest issues of journals and magazines are displayed on the display rack and other previous issues are arranged in the shelves.

  • Time to issue and return books will be from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

  • Books will be issued to a student for a maximum period of 15 days. After that the books may be reissued or retuned. Otherwise, a fine of Re 1/- per day per book will be charged.

  • A student can get a book reissued up to maximum of two times.

  • The librarian may recall any book from any member at any time and the member shall return the same immediately.

  • If a library book is lost by a student, then he/she has to replace it or pay the cost of the new book.

  • If papers are torn off or damaged from the book, student has to either replace the book or deposit the cost of book.

  • Students are required to handle the books/ journals very carefully; marking with pencil; writing or highlighting, tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way will be taken very seriously. In such case, the reader shall be held responsible unless these are brought to the notice of the library staff at the time of issue.

  • Students should return books within a week after completing their respective semester/yearly examinations, otherwise a fine will be charged.

  • Each student shall obtain a No dues certificate from the library after returning all the books issued.

  • Students can demand or request any book through OPAC.

  • No bags and personal books are allowed in the library.

  • The students are expected to be silent in the library.

  • No discussion is permitted inside the library

  • Use of mobile phones is not allowed in the library.
