Innovation and Incubation Cell (IIC)
About Cell
St. Xavier’s College Jaipur has initiated an Innovative effort of establishing an INNOVATION
& INCUBATION CELL (IIC) in the academic session 2020-2021. The primary objective of this
cell is to facilitate the creation of Job providers in India. Taking forward the mandate of Ministry
of Human Resource Development (MHRD) & Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), we being a
higher education institution shall provide a platform to students to create new ideas and
inventions, which shall benefit the students, our institution, and society at large. Collaborating
the efforts of different departments, and academic clubs/ committees of the college like E-cell,
TechX club, IPR committee etc. this Cell shall provide a broader platform to students to initiate
and bring up their business ideas into practice. The basic aim of this cell is to bring small
transformations in the society resolving the basic problems prevailing in the environment, by
guiding students or young entrepreneurs to come up with solutions to the problems through their
entrepreneurial initiatives.
Functions of Cell
Identify and motivate interested students from all the departments to join and become
active members of the cell
Try to tie up with government bodies like Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) or START-
Up India, Bhamashah Techno Hub, DST, Govt. of Raj. etc.
To teach and train students (non-commerce & BBA background) the skills & basics
of Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Accounting, and different
functional areas of Management
To assist and guide startups by providing mentorship support in converting innovative
business ideas from early-stage to scalable level & commercially viable level
To support startups by providing industry tie-ups, mentorship, connection to funding
agencies, and management training
Conduction of Specific Women Entrepreneurship Promotion Programs
Collaborative activities with some NGO’s for grass root level development practices
To Plan and conduct different innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities such
as periodic workshops, seminars, interactions with entrepreneurs, Angel investors,
professionals, and build a mentor pool for students
To apply for Patents through the IPR Committee
To Provide opportunities to explore students’ talents specifically in the IT sector and
come up with technical innovations
To Motivate students’ awareness of their social responsibility and also encourage the
idea of social entrepreneurship
To coordinate with e-cell. TechX club, IPR committee and teaching departments for
the implementation of the objectives of the cell
